Queens Platinum Jubilee

New Mayor joins the Jubilee Celebrations

New Mayor joins the Jubilee Celebrations

To celebrate the queens platinum Jubilee the school held a street party on the playground for the nursery and primary children. The children made crowns and decorations in art to wear on the day.

Newly elected Mayor of Downham Market, Charlie Pyatt, cut the Jubilee cake made by the school chef.
This was the Mayor's first official engagement. The Mayor and his wife joined the children, teachers and other guests for a Jubilee lunch. The Mayor also officially opened the Calm Canopy in the school garden. A place where children can go if they want some time out in a quiet and peaceful environment.
